DIY Pumpkin Spiced Rum

Who doesn’t love all things pumpkin spice? Nobody, that’s who, not even my cat! Pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pies are great but last year I started started experimenting with something new: Pumpkin Spiced Rum! It’s easy, it’s delicious and it'll add a new twist to all your favorite fall & winter cocktails like hot rum toddys, hot buttered rum, spiked eggnog or apple cider or my fave: as a replacement for vodka in a white russian (or for halloween: a ghost russian! get it?! Ok fine cheap shot but I had to… haha)

If you dress up your bottle of this Pumpkin Spiced Rum with my free printable labels it also makes a great gift to bring to the hostess of any Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas party!

What You'll Need

  • Label Artwork

  • Printer, Paper + Glue or sticker paper

  • Empty bottle (I found mine at Ikea)

  • 1 bottle of white rum

  • 1 stick of cinnamon

  • 1 vanilla bean sliced open

  • 3 cloves

  • 3 thin slices of ginger

  • 1 small chunk of nutmeg (about 1/16th of a nut)

  • 1 shot Cane Sugar

  • Funnel

Insert the spices & sugar into the empty bottle & funnel in the rum.

Download, print and glue the labels to the bottles.

Leave the bottle to infuse on its side in a cool, dark place for 2-4 weeks.

Pppssstt- If you like this recipe, try our mojito-infused rum!
