Hand Embroidery Workshops
The earliest known traces of embroidery date back to 30,000 B.C., making it one of the most ancient art forms.
Although they differ greatly, virtually every culture around the world has developed their own traditional needlework such as intricate silk embroidery in China, quilted Khayamiya tents in Egypt, Palestinian Tatreez and Japanese Sashiko.
During our embroidery workshops, we touch on the History and evolution of this beloved tradition and demonstrate a variety of techniques.
We offer a variety of stitching projects including Visible Mending, Wall Art and traditional Embroidery Samplers.
We lend all the material for the workshops and kits are available for purchase at extra cost.
