Himmeli are scandinavian straw ornaments, traditionally hung as chandeliers above the dining table from the holiday season till the mid-summer harvest.
The most intricate Himmeli can be made up of hundreds, even thousands of pieces of straw like these awe-inspiring pieces by Eija Koski.
During this introductory session we'll use wheat straws to make a simple geometric diamond, which is the base for many more intricate ornaments.
