Join Tashkeel First Solo Artist-in-Residence Natalya Konforti at Tashkeel Al Fahidi (House 10) for a a morning of communal stitching in the courtyard.
Slow stitching treats needlework as a meditative, stress-relieving practice. Needlework practitioners of all levels and mediums including embroidery, quilting, hand sewing, crochet, cross stitch, punch needle and macramé are invited to bring in their projects to stitch together as a community.
Participants are also encouraged to contribute to a communal memory quilt by bringing in a small piece of fabric that reminds them of a particular moment in time.
This event is an opportunity to seek advice, swap recommendations, and meet like-minded textile enthusiasts, attendance is free of charge but seats are limited. Register below:
